Maree rounded off regular season play with road wins on successive Saturdays, against Waterford, then Tolka and finally St Brendan’s, to nail down second spot in the Southern Conference, in their first ever MNL season.
In Waterford, Maree recorded a 77 – 62 victory over their hosts. Eighteen-year-old Liam Conroy with 20 points was top scorer for Maree, and nineteen-year-old Dave Hansberry notched 16.

A week after the Waterford win, Maree were in Dublin, where they came back from a slow start to beat Tolka Rovers 100 – 91.
Conroy was again Maree’s top-scorer with 25 points, while Sarunas Zvirblinskas hit 22. Maree played their last regular season National League game against Team Meadowlands St Brendan’s, in Tralee on Saturday night March 6th, winning 82 – 67.
Twenty-one-year-old Danny Finn was the game’s high scorer with 25, and Conroy was good for 17. With second spot secured, Maree are home to Tolka Rovers in the first play-off round, in Calasanctius College Oranmore, at 6pm on Saturday March 13th.
