IRISH SQUADS NAMED (GIRLS)
15th Apr 2010
The Ireland under 16 Girls squads have been revealed ahead of an extremely busy summer for the international programme.
Head Coach Dave Baker will lead the Irish under 16 girls into European Championship action as they look forward to facing Israel, Ukraine and Germany. The games take place on August 12 -22 in the Macedonian capital of Skopje. On top of this, the side will also be hosting England in Ireland with away friendly internationals planned against Luxembourg and Scotland
"The U16 girls Panel have been working very hard over the past few months with individuals trying to fight for positions on both the development squad and the European championship squad,” said U16B Girls Head Coach Dave Baker. “The team development continues at the end of April and while the selection process will be very difficult, I feel with a lot of hard work from the players we will have all the key elements on both teams to make Ireland very proud come competition time.”
Meanwhile, an Under-16 Men’s Development Group will travel to France to gain some much needed experience while the U16 Women will play in Barcelona.
