Ireland Senior Women’s Head Coach Mark Scannell has an squad of 14 players for the FIBA European Championships for Small Countries in June. The squad is based on players who attended an open trial in December and made themselves available for selection.

Ireland have competed in three FIBA European Championships for Small Countries and been runners up on each occasion, the last time coming in 1993. Mark Scannell oversaw Ireland’s last official campaign in 2009 prior to the international hiatus. 

The extended squad gathered in April for series of games against a squad of SCL Victory Scholars. A final squad of 12 will attend the European Championships.
