The Elite Performance Committee (EPC) has announced some new appointments this week, with three Head Coaches for the Irish international underage squads revealed.

Mike Lynch has been appointed Head Coach for the Under 15 Men’s team. He was previously an assistant coach with the Under 16 Men’s team. Karl Kilbride has been appointed Head Coach for the Under 15 Women’s team. Kilbride, who is currently the Head Coach of Pyrobel Killester, was also Assistant Coach for the Under 16 Women’s programme and helped the team to secure Ireland’s best ever finish at a FIBA European Championships earlier this year.

Finally, Paul Kelleher has been appointed Head Coach for the Under 17 Men’s team. Kelleher is a former coach of the Men’s Under 16 team, and is current Head Coach of Men’s Division 1 team, BFG Neptune.

Speaking about the appointments, Chair of the EPC, Bernard O’Byrne stated: “We are pleased to announce these three appointments for our Irish underage teams. We wish them all the very best in their roles.”
