Ireland Under 18 Women's squad all set for Girona tournament

The Irish Under 18 Women’s team left Ireland earlier today to take part in a four-day tournament in Girona, Spain. 

The squad will land in Spain today, and will be in action later this evening when they take on UNI Girona at 7pm (local time). This will be followed by a second game against BC Fontajau. 
Tomorrow  [Tuesday] will see the squad take to the court once more in the evening, when they face off against two Under 18 regional teams, while Wednesday will see them play another team from UNI Girona, and a later match against CB Sarria De Ter. 

The last day of competition [Thursday, November 3rd] will see them take on the challenge of UNI Girona’s Under 18s, before they will get the opportunity to catch a Euro League Women’s Game between Girona and Castors Braine of Belgium that night. 

The squad travelling is: Niamh Foley, Sarah Livisey, Ciara Broderick, Amy Dooley, Mae Creane, Maeve O’Seaghdha, Margaret Byrne, Jayne Fitzgerald, Saoirse Kelly, Sorcha Tiernan, Claire Melia, Amy Murphy, Rachel Huijsdens, Alison Blaney, Dayna Finn, Annaliese Murphy, Niamh Masterson, Enya Maguire, Maeve Phelan, Bronagh Karl Power Cassidy and Ella McCloskey, along with coach, Thomas O’Mahony, assistant coach Niall Berry and team physio, Emma Prendiville.
