Irish Under 16 Womens squad announcement

The 12 players who will go forward to represent Ireland on the Irish Under 16 Women’s team have been announced by Head Coach, Andy Gill, today.

The team has been selected ahead of this year’s FIBA Under 16 Women’s European Championship, in Macedonia from August 15-27th, 2017.

Speaking about the announcement, Coach Gill stated: “We had a hugely successful trip to Nottingham over the Easter break with the squad. There were so many good performances that it was very hard to select our final 12. We now begin our preparation in earnest with a number of exciting international games and a very full calendar of training weekends. We are looking forward to the challenge of the European Championships in Macedonia and the opportunity to compete for Ireland."
