Nicola Rafferty opened the scoring for Dungannon with a lay-up on two minutes. St Pats’ Kelly Loughran scored off the rebound to put the score line even on a scoreline of nine points each. Castlerea shaded the closing stages and went in 17-12 ahead at the interval.
Castlerea’s lead was cut heading into the third quarter to just a solitary point before Nicola Rafferty inspired St Pats into the lead after coming from defence to score and helped her side to a 34-30 lead.
St. Pats extended their lead in the final quarter with scores from Nicole Rafferty, 31-42. A host of scores from St Pats’ Caoimhe Colgan extended the gap to 35-50 in their favour. The game continued at a high pace with St. Pats pulling away from Castlerea in the closing minutes of the fourth quarter to run out eventual winners with a score line of 58-39
