Team Montenotte Hotel Cork V UL Basketball Club, Neptune Stadium, 18:00;
Team Montenotte Hotel Cork will be crowned Regular Season champions this weekend if they can emerge from their tough clash at home to UL with a win.
“I am very happy where we are as a unit,” said Montenotte Head Coach Mark Scannell. “We have a chance to win the regular season and hopefully remain unbeaten for the final two games this season.
“It would be a great achievement to have the conference wrapped up with a game to go but UL have been doing well and it won’t be easy.”
UL’s unbeaten run came to a halt at home to DCU Mercy in their last outing with April Cahalane’s 23 point haul unable to save her side from a 78-70 defeat.
“We were disappointed to lose to DCU last weekend but we must concentrate on returning to winning ways and bringing some confidence into the Play-Off’s,” said UL’s Head Coach James Weldon.
