Jessica Scannell is currently mid-season in Division One of the Big V in Australia. She leads the league in Total Match Points following her switch from Melbourne Tigers to Keilor Thunder where she has averaged 23 points per game and 40% three-point accuracy in her five games to date.
Orla OâReilly had an injury interrupted third season with Embutidos Pajariel Bembibre PDM in the Liga Feminina. The Northern Spanish club were challenging for playoff spots in the early part of the season but their winning percentage dropped from .500 to .333 after OâReilly broke a bone in her hand in January.
Edel Thornton is completing her freshman year at Quinnipiac University. The Gurranabraher guard averaged 12.6 minutes per game and made five starts in a season where the Bobcats had their first national postseason victory in program history. She suffered a foot injury in December but came back to hit 10 points in the WNIT First Round against Maine on March 18th.
Stephanie OâSullivanâs Keyano Huskies missed out on the playoffs in Canadaâs ACAC but OâSullivan made 13 starts ranking third in rebounds per game for her side and averaging 8.5 ppg.
The upcoming series of games is a fundraiser for costs associated with the FIBA European Championship For Small Countries in Gibraltar in June. Admission will be â¬5 for adults and â¬2 for children U16 with all donations welcome.
