The winners of the Basketball Ireland Players and Coaches of the Month awards for March have been announced today.

In the Men’s Super League, it’s a double run of wins for Garvey's Tralee Warriors as, for the second month in a row, both star player Trae Pemberton and Head Coach, Mark Bernsen have scooped the Player and Coach of the Month awards. The wins come just after the Kerry team secured the Champions Trophy title in an overtime thriller against Templeogue on Sunday to finish off their season in style.

In the Women’s Super League meanwhile, two awards are winging their way to Courtyard Liffey Celtics, with Jazmen Boone bagging the Player of the Month award, while Head Coach Mark Byrne has won the Coach of the Month award for the second month in a row after he led his side to the Women’s Super League play-off title by overcoming Ambassador UCC Glanmire last Saturday evening, topping off an unbeaten run that has been going strong since January.

The double awards for clubs continues in Division One, with Keane’s SuperValu Killorglin bagging both the Men’s Player and Coach of the Month awards, with Garny Garcia Nivar scooping the player title and Coach James Weldon bagging the coaching accolade.

There will also be more celebrations down in Kilkenny as Kelly O’Hallahan of Marble City Hawks has scooped her third Player of the Month award this season, with Head Coach Julian O’Keeffe bagging his second after leading his side to play-off glory against ITC Basketball last weekend.
