Chloe Mullins excited for new challenge in the USA
September 19, 2017
Courtyard Liffey Celtics player Chloe Mullins is jetting off to the United States this week to start prep school at the Redemption Christian Academy in Boston.
The Kildare player is really looking forward to the challenge, and is hoping to live the dream in Boston. We caught up with the Super League and Ireland Under 20 player earlier this week at the international caps presentation ceremony at the National Basketball Arena.
"I can’t wait, it’s getting real now," Mullins admitted. "I can’t wait to meet my new team and see what it’s like over there in Redemption Christian Academy. It’s just outside Boston, so there should be a good atmosphere.
"I’m going to miss the girls from Liffey Celtics so much though," she admitted. "We had a great year last year – second in the League, made it to the Cup final and won the Super League play offs, so it was a great atmosphere training with the girls.
"Ideally, I’d love to spend another four years after prep school there [in the USA], just to get better and, when I do come back, to be a better player than when I went over. I had a great time with the Ireland Under 20s, Israel was amazing, it was a great programme and it made me a better player so I definitely hope to come back and play again."
