Ulster University Performance Sport Scholarships
Applications are invited, from both men and women, for Performance Sport Scholarships for Basketball at Ulster University for the 2018/2019 season.
These scholarships are intended for students currently registered at Ulster University or those students entering undergraduate or postgraduate study for the academic year 2018-19.
Those awarded Performance Sport Scholarships for Basketball will be required to play for Ulster University in Irish Colleges and Varsity competitions, Northern Ireland Universities (if selected) and ideally Basketball Ireland National League and Cup Division One competitions.
This is the third year of Ulster University’s Performance Sport Scholarship programme and it is a sign of continued investment into the future development of basketball at the university.
The scholarships take the form of full/partial financial support of tuition fees. Additionally, scholars may benefit from strength and conditioning, mentoring and medical support. As well as opportunities to develop your basketball skills, Ulster University also provides opportunities for scholarship athletes to act as role models in the community through outreach work and coaching.
Informal enquiries can be made to Patrick O Neill at p.oneill2@ulster.ac.uk.
A basketball cv with a cover letter stating why you should be considered should be submitted via email to basketball@ulster.ac.uk by 4pm on the 22nd of June, 2018.
Applicants should be able to demonstrate their sporting achievement/potential, off court skills and academic achievement.
