Senior National Teams partner with HomeCourt
June 14, 2019
Basketball Ireland is pleased to announce that the Senior Men’s and Senior Women’s teams are partnering with HomeCourt as part of their preparations for the FIBA Small Countries competition in 2020.
HomeCourt is a breakthrough new approach to basketball player development that uses cutting-edge mobile AI and machine vision technology. It provides players with real-time feedback of their workouts from any gym, any court, anywhere—all from their iPhone or iPad. The HomeCourt app also enables players to keep track of their individual workouts and share them with their team when they are away from the squad.
Senior Women’s Coach James Weldon spoke about the new partnership “We are delighted that our national team players will have access to HomeCourt technology for 2019/2020. We aren’t always able to get the full squad together so this will be a fantastic way for our coaches to stay connected with the team and track individual players workouts when they are away from the group. It will certainly help us in our preparations over the coming year.”
Colin Wan from HomeCourt was also excited about the new link “We are excited to partner with Basketball Ireland and look forward to providing the Senior National Teams with advanced analytics on their shooting, dribbling, and agility to help them make a push in international competition.”
HomeCourt’s goal is to unlock potential in every player and is used by teams and players at every level in more than 100 countries around the world. HomeCourt has also been adopted by numerous NBA, US College, and High School teams, and has been featured in Sports Illustrated and the Wall Street Journal. It is free to download on the App Store.
