Draw complete for FIBA Europeans next summer

The draws for the 2020 FIBA European Championships took place in Germany today.
The Ireland Senior Men’s team have a tough task ahead of them this summer in Limerick as they tip off their FIBA European Championship for Small Countries in Group B. The 2018 bronze medallists have been drawn in a tricky group alongside Azerbaijan, 2016 gold medallists Armenia and 2016 silver medallists, Andorra. The Ireland Senior Women’s team will also face some familiar faces in Cyprus next summer, as they were drawn in Group A alongside 2016 gold medallists Malta, along with Norway and Andorra.
The Ireland Under 20 women’s team meanwhile will play in Division A next summer thanks to a bronze medal win the B Championships last year, and they face a tough Group A along with Belgium and old rivals from the Under 18 Division A two summers ago, Italy and Bulgaria.
The Ireland Under 20 men meanwhile will contest Division B in Georgia and have been drawn in Group D with Bulgaria, Kosovo, Belarus, Slovakia and Finland.
The Ireland U18 women were drawn today in an interesting Group B alongside Norway, Portugal, Denmark and Iceland for the championships in Austria next summer.
It’s also an interesting draw for the Ireland Under 18 men who return to Romania in the summer, as they were drawn against the hosts, as well as Austria, Switzerland, Ukraine and Georgia in Group C.
Another tough challenge awaits the Ireland Under 16 women, who were drawn in a tricky Group C alongside Romania, Slovakia, Poland, North Macedonia and Kosovo.
The Under 16 men meanwhile were also drawn in Group C with hosts Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Belgium, Luxembourg and Portugal.
