As you may be aware, the National Table Officials Association informed Basketball Ireland in the last number of weeks that it could no longer form a functioning Committee and was requesting BI to put an alternative structure in place.

Following due consideration of this request, the BI Board and Executive agreed at its meeting on December 16th, 2019 to restructure the Technical side of the sport. 

Following discussion with the Commissioners Committee, BI is introducing a new committee called the Commissioners and Table Officials Committee (CTOC). 

This committee will take immediate effect. 

The membership of the new committee is Rovena Fahey (Chair), Declan Murray (Development), Gareth O’Reilly (TO Appointments) and Gerry Kelly (Secretary and Appointments Commissioner).

The Board and Executive of BI wish to thank the officers in question for taking on this new project, which we hope will see the continued growth and development of both technical elements of the sport.
