Basketball Ireland launch One Good Coach workshop
January 25, 2021
Basketball Ireland is delighted to launch Jigsaw's ‘One Good Coach’ workshop, following a collaboration between Jigsaw and Basketball Ireland. It starts off ‘Mind Your Mental Health Week’, in association with our charity partners Jigsaw and Aware.
The online workshop is aimed at people at all levels in the game who are involved in coaching or training young people.
As a result of the workshop participants will have a greater understanding of mental health and a greater understanding of their role as ‘One Good Adult’. It will lead to a greater awareness of how to promote and support young people’s mental health in their role as a coach.
To start the course, which takes approximately 40 minutes to complete, please click on this link: One Good Coach. You will need sound while undertaking this workshop, as there are video and audio segments.
On Wednesday there will be a ‘One Good Coach’ webinar at 8pm, with Jigsaw representative Rebecca Murphy, to expand on the lessons learned from the course. You must sign up via email@example.com by 5pm on Wednesday.
Throughout ‘Mind Your Mental Health Week’ Basketball Ireland is helping Jigsaw and Aware to fundraise and you can donate via our iDonate page.
On Tuesday at 8pm there will be an ‘Intro to Mindfulness’ webinar with an Aware’s Anne Costello, which you must register for by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org by 5pm on Tuesday, 26th January.
