The Galway Area Basketball Board has become a fully inclusive Area Basketball Board, after signing up to the Cara Charter and putting an Inclusion policy and Inclusion officer in place.

Basketball Ireland Galway Development Officer, Mike Murray said: “Sport and physical activity are central to the fabric of life in Ireland and as citizens of Ireland people with disabilities have a right to be active within their communities. Galway Area Basketball Board will actively assist all clubs to put a full inclusion policy in place to assist in this goal. Basketball Ireland and Cara are encouraging all clubs and Area Boards to sign up for the Cara Charter.
