Video: Bounce Back Challenge gets underway
June 03, 2021
The Bounce Back Challenge gets underway tomorrow (Friday 4th June), as the first set of challenges are to be released. This new free initiative, aimed at players of all levels aged 12-17,is for all levels of skill, from novice to club players. For the months of June and July, any player that downloads the MaxOne app will get specialised content to help develop their game. The highlight of Bounce Back Challenge will be the weekly participation-based dribbling skills challenge. All participants who complete the challenges will be in with a chance to win weekly and monthly prizes, as well as a grand prize of a holiday for a family of four to the USA to go to watch a NBA game. Anyone can download the app and get involved, however only those aged 12-17 are eligible to win the prizes.
The weekly dribbling challenges will be presented by Griffith College Templeogue player and ‘Why Not Me?’ founder, Puff Summers. Summers, who was at the ‘Bounce Back Challenge’ launch with Irish underage international players Dáire Murray and Lucy Coogan, said: “I can't wait to see the skills of players all over the country, especially from players we haven’t seen before. It’s free and a fun way to challenge yourself over the summer and you get an opportunity to win some pretty cool prizes, while also improving your skills in that process. So I’d encourage everyone to get involved”.
